Ok, so basically I will use this blog page to post general weekly opinions on rugby events/happenings/games/ and more.

To kick off this blog I will first comment on this past weekend's England vs. Ireland 6 Nations game. I had a great time supporting the Irish on BBC America as they pulled off an incredible 24-8 upset over the previously undefeated English side. Johnny Sexton easily won Man Of The Match after a perfect display kicking, passing, and game management. The Irish fly half really took care of business easily showing up two very good fly halfs in Flood and Wilkinson. The IRFU now stands tied for 2nd place at 3-2 with France and Wales. England is still in 1st sporting a 4-1 record. How will this play out? Well, in my opinion: Ireland's next 3 games are against Italy in Roma, France in Dublin, and Scotland in Edinburgh. All 3 matches are winnable. 2 against the weakest sides in the 6 Nations, even though they are both away games, it shouldn't prove too much trouble for the Irish, and the match against the French is at Landsdowne. The Irish should be looking for some good old fashioned revenge, celtic style. The match at Murrayfield is a perfect opening for an upset, though, as Ireland has shaky luck at Murrayfield. But since Scotland has been nothing short of weak this year, you can go ahead and put that up as a W for the IRFU.
